March blogAnna Khanna
This month has been an exceptionally tough one having said goodbye to the amazing Kate Mciver.
Kate was one of our first ever Socialista clients and was an amazing mum, wife and business woman who touched the lives of everyone she met.
I remember Kate being so excited when she hit 10 thousand followers & was deservedly fully booked for months at Hoole Spa. Kate’s Secret Weapon serum developed a cult following over the years, amassing thousands of orders. We remember how little Lucia used to help you pack the serum parcels.
The world was a much better place with you in it Kate and we are sending all of our love to your amazing family, especially Lucia, and we will be thinking of you always.
Another huge loss last month was the loss of Love Island’s Mike Thala.
Mike’s death really made us reflect on the harsh reality of living a life on social media & in the public eye. It’s so scary to think this time last year we were watching Mike on Celebs Go Dating and he came across as happy, full of life and seemed to ‘live the dream’.
Mike’s tragic death has served to remind us to ask our friends how they’re doing, go & visit them, show them you love them, show them you care.
In lighter news, Socialista opted for a slight rebrand during March with a shift in our colour pallet.
Socialista has become synonymous with the girly ‘pink, marble & gold’ aesthetic which we still absolutely love; so don’t worry you won’t be seeing any drastic changes any time soon! We’ve simply shifted our tones to nude, gold & less pink. Did you notice the change in our branding? If so let us know what you think below.
During March we ran an incredible offer for all of our amazing followers.
Over the pay day weekend all Follower Growth packages were 50% off PLUS we offered a 50% discount on our UNREAL Content Creation Ebook. Do you want to see regular Pay Day discount codes? Comment below to let us know what you want to see on offer next!
During March we held a record number of Group Instagram training sessions training groups of lovely ladies at Parea Alderley Edge, Girl Gang Liverpool, Bello Amor Beauty Academy & the Lash Lounge.
Our personal highlight this month was Training our all-time favourite Cheshire House Wife Leanne Brown who came along to Parea to learn our top tips on how to promote her amazing new book “Girl Got Grit”.
With our group Instagram training sessions attendees receive 50% off the price of a One-to-One training session yet still learn all of the same amazing tips. Would you be interested in holding a training session for your staff? Send us and email or drop us a DM for to get booked in.
We also couldn’t discuss our Group Training Sessions without a giving a special shout out to Little Puddings Cupcakes & House of Hooray Cheshire who have provided some of the gorgeous, branded cakes and balloons which have made out training sessions extra special!
Our top tip Tuesdays have also continued to be a huge success. In March we offered our followers tips on filtering DMs, competitions, day specific content & insta adverts. So what is top tip Tuesdays?
Every Tuesday we spill our best kept Socialista secrets to help you optimise your business on Instagram. From advice to maximise your visibility, to our favourite free graphic design apps, we are holding nothing back. No catch, just free advice to help you grow your business.
Make sure you are following us with post notifications turned on to ensure you don’t miss a single Tuesday tip.
And finally, being true Socialista’s we couldn’t talk about March without mentioning the longest 5 hours of our lives when Instagram went down!!
Did anyone else end up having a “Kim K loses diamond earring” type melt down?! Because we definitely did!
